Westminster Entrance
Cultural
Completed

The Westminster Entrance reimagines an underutilized entrance as an accessible, welcoming public threshold. Our designs replaced a previously congested and unintentionally landscaped walkway. We introduced an ADA-compliant ramp that integrates into a meandering path, and framed the route with native plants and embedded seating. The ramp becomes more than circulation: it situates the welcome architecture and creates a thoughtful landscape for pause, facilitating gathering and everyday interaction.

Aligned with broader design efforts shaping Brooklyn today, the Westminster Entrance reflects an approach to adaptive reuse that prioritizes inclusion, environmental sensitivity, and shareable space. By transforming a purely functional entry into a layered public experience, the design demonstrates how even modest interventions hold the potential to expand access and foster community connection.
